D&E Productions — Preserving Stories That Last Forever
At D&E Productions, we specialize in capturing the stories, wisdom, and memories of your loved ones — beautifully and professionally — right in the comfort of their own home.
Before the Session
To help make the interview as meaningful as possible, we send a PDF preparation guide before filming.
This guide includes information to gather, what kinds of photos to gather, and how to make your loved one feel comfortable and confident for the interview day.

Scheduling & Communication
To ensure clear and organized communication, the client must designate one point of contact for all coordination, scheduling, project updates, and preparation.
A general timeframe must be agreed upon before booking.
An exact filming date must be confirmed before a deposit is taken.
If the interview subject(s) are not ready or available, the project may be paused until the family is prepared to move forward.
The client agrees to:
Ensure all family members have discussed and agreed to the project before booking.
Provide a quiet, comfortable, and interruption-free environment for filming.
Provide any photos or materials to be included in the edit before or on the filming day.
Communicate all updates or questions exclusively through the designated point of contact.
Our Interview Process:
In-Home Filming
We come to your home and create a relaxed, comfortable environment for your grandparents or loved ones to share their stories.
Our interviews are storytelling format, not question-and-answer sessions. We don’t ask questions every few seconds or interrupt with a back-and-forth like a podcast. Instead, we guide the flow with topics—(EG. We will tell the interviewee to start off by speaking about your yichus. How far back do you know? Okay, now speak about your childhood. Speak about where you grew up etc..
Okay, now speak about yeshiva Etc.. Now marriage, speak about how you meet your wife etc.) We will guide them through it and let your loved one tell their story naturally, covering everything in each section. This creates a seamless, authentic narrative that captures a full life in a meaningful, lasting way.
(It is up to the interviewee and his family to gather all the information that they need, for example, jot down the information he needs to remember, go over it before we come. It is also upon the interviewee and his family to gather the appropriate materials needed before we come for example, pictures, wedding invitations, bar mitzvah invitations etc. that he wants us to scan and include in the film.)
Professional Setup
We use a high-quality camera, professional lighting, and a studio-grade microphone to ensure beautiful visuals and clear sound.
One-Hour Interview (One Person Only):
We record one person at a time — the session is focused entirely on your loved one’s story, memories, and reflections. We do not film multiple family members in a single session, allowing the focus to remain personal and intimate.
Editing & Production
After filming, we thoughtfully craft your footage into a timeless video keepsake:
Clean, polished editing
Overlay of family photos and soft music
Added titles and on-screen text
Delivery
Your completed video is delivered on one USB drive, included in the final price.
Additional USB copies are available for $25 each — perfect for sharing with family members.
We look forward to helping you preserve your family stories for generations to come.
